Meet the Founder

A Journey Shaped by Cultures, Continuous Learning & Professional Excellence

The Etiquette & Protocol Academy was founded from a simple belief: the way we carry ourselves, communicate, and treat others can open doors throughout life.

Originally from Romania and living in Malta since 2022, our founder has spent much of her life in different countries, experiencing a variety of cultures. Speaking five languages fluently, she developed from an early age a strong appreciation for cultural differences, communication, and social awareness, and holds a degree in International Economic Relations from the ‘Dimitrie Cantemir’ Christian University in Bucharest.

Her passion for etiquette began as part of a wider commitment to personal development. In 2019, she completed her first formal etiquette course in London. What began as a personal interest developed into a long-term journey of learning, with further courses, continuous study, and a growing interest in international etiquette and protocol practices.

Her professional journey has been shaped by a strong foundation in customer service, advancing into leadership before moving into large-scale projects and industrial development, where, within a few years she progressed into project leadership, taking the lead in major industrial and construction projects delivered by one of Malta’s established contractors and engineering groups, working alongside governmental entities and major organisations across the island.

This experience gave her first-hand insight into the importance of professional conduct, communication, personal presentation, responsibility, leadership, and the way individuals represent themselves and the organisations they work for.

From Personal Passion to a Vision for Malta

After years of international exposure, professional experience, and continuous study in etiquette and personal development, the idea of establishing The Etiquette & Protocol Academy began to take shape.

Rather than focusing solely on traditional manners, EPA approaches etiquette as a collection of life and professional skills — encompassing confidence, communication, character, emotional intelligence, personal presentation, cultural awareness, social awareness, and professional presence.

The Academy was created to give children and young people the opportunity to develop these qualities from an early age, while also providing meaningful programmes for teenagers and adults.

Today, EPA offers programmes for children aged 5–14, teenagers, and adults, together with bespoke professional and hospitality training designed around the specific needs of organisations and their teams.

Founder & Trainer

At this stage of the Academy’s development, the programmes are personally delivered by the founder, allowing her to bring her own international experience, professional background, and continuous learning in etiquette and protocol directly into the classroom.

This hands-on approach ensures that each programme reflects the values at the heart of EPA — quality, authenticity, personal attention, and practical learning.
